When Lindsey reached out to me about coming on board for her May 2019 wedding I was so excited! You see, Lindsey and I actually had met before...way back in 2013. Our story is so neat! Lindsey was the bridal consultant who helped me find my own dream dress for my own wedding at Modern Brides, a bridal boutique in Huntsville, Alabama. She was so good, too! I wanted something pretty unique but was having trouble finding it, so at the end of my appointment, Lindsey said, " Hang on a minute, I have something in the back that we just got in from market, that I think would go perfectly with the wedding you are planning...but be open minded!" So she came back carrying this giant champagne colored tulle ballgown ( I had been trying on nothing but white lace gowns!), and I was like, "Umm it's Gold, but it's gorgeous!" I probably looked like the heart eyes emoji! I tried it on and when I stepped on that pedestal I just couldn't stop smiling. It made me feel like the princess I never knew I wanted to be! HaHa! And she was soooo right! It was perfect for my wedding and venue! It even fit like a glove and required no alterations, so I bought it on the spot right there! Then Lindsey helped us pick out bridesmaid dresses that same day that were also perfect! You can see baby Lindsey in the background of that last photo below ( she's the cutie in the blue dress!).
So fast forward to spring 2019 and now our roles were reversed! I was going to get to help her with her wedding and like I said before I couldn't be more excited. Lindsey is one of the happiest people I have ever met...her bubbly personality is so contagious, and anyone that meets her just falls in love with her immediately! Happy Brides are the best brides, but then having a happy bride who is also a manager of Bridal Boutiqe is a wedding planner's dream! I knew the fashion was going to be on point for her big day, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. So enough back story, let's get into Lindsey and Jake's beautiful, spring wedding! All vendor information can be found at the end.
Lindsey and Jake got married on May 11, 2019 at the gorgeous The Ledges Club in Huntsville, Alabama. From the castle-esque architecture to Lindsey's glitter-drenched ballgown, this wedding had some major princess/fairytale vibes and was stunningly captured by Tina of Twenty Oaks Photography! But, as beautiful as this day and everything about it was, FUN is the word that I still come back to when I remember their wedding day. The amount of joy bubbling out of these two was contagious! Nothing was going to get them down...not even the rain that made them have to go with Plan B and move their ceremony inside the ballroom. They laughed and joked all day long! It was just so much fun to be there that day; they had all of us in stitches.
Let's take a look at the details shall we?
The Ledges Club is an exclusive country club and golf course that is truly stunning! The landscaping and greens are just beautiful, the architecture is regal, and the VIEWS are breathtaking! It is truly a Huntsville gem and is an amazing place to get married! When I pulled up for the first time my jaw dropped and I was in awe! I was like somebody please pinch me, this place can't be real and can't be in Alabama.
Y'all see what I mean?! How is this place real? So, without a doubt Lindsey and Jake chose the most perfect venue!
But two things outshone this gorgeous place...Lindsey's draw-dropping gown and the love and joy shared by these two! All of the wedding day attire came from Modern Brides, of course! From her gown and veil, to the menswear, the bridesmaid gowns, and even the mother's gowns. And while it was all perfect, Lindsey obviously had to have the most amazing gown ever! She chose a stunning tulle ballgown with a lace and mesh bodice with a beautiful sweetheart neckline...but it was the GLITTER that made this gown truly show-stopping! Her gown and veil were both glitter-drenched and I couldn't stop staring at Lindsey all day. A sparkly gown was perfect for Lindsey, this girl shines bright! If I had to guess, there's probably still glitter remnants being found at The Ledges a year later. Haha! Lindsey loved her gown, but it was her veil that she was especially proud of. One of the many times she had us cracking up that day she told me as I was taking her veil back to the bridal suite during the reception, "Please be careful with it, I will be buried in that one day!" And I don't blame her one bit!
Lindsey was stunning! Jake and the Wedding Party didn't look too shabby either! The raspberry toned bridesmaids gowns and navy suits were the perfect combination and was such a beautiful palette for May!

Now I know I said their wedding day was non-stop fun, and it was, but there were some truly tender, beautiful moments as well. Lindsey and Jake exchanged letters that morning during the getting ready process and were both emotional when they read them...and when I heard them reading them aloud in their wedding video by the super talented Brad of Lumpstick Productions, so was I! The sweetest!
Once ready, they shared a private first look together and it was the epitome of First Look Goals. Lindsey descended down this gorgeous staircase at the back of the venue to meet her groom for the first time that day! It was so dreamy and I just loved Jake's reaction to his beautiful bride!
As mentioned earlier, we had to move to Plan B because rain was in the forecast. So, the ceremony and reception both took place in the ballroom inside and it was just beautiful! It is so important to have a beautiful back up plan for when mother nature just doesn't cooperate. I know it can be disappointing when your heart is set on that dreamy outdoors ceremony, but just remember a wet knot is harder to untie! Shindigs and Such provided the beautiful drapery for the ceremony backdrop as well as the gorgeous petal linen for Lindsey's cake table. A family friend played the piano for the ceremony and Matt with America's Party Pros. kept the dance floor packed all evening...from young to old, everyone had a blast! One of my favorite parts of the night was when Lindsey surprised her sweet mom with a special Mother-Daughter Dance, and since it was Mother's Day weekend , Lindsey had all of the other moms and daughters join them on the dance floor! It was so sweet. The cakes were provided by Sweet T's Cakes and Catering and Bar were provided by The Ledges. And then to end the most magical day we sent Jake and Lindsey away in the only send-off that would be appropriate for Lindsey and her bubbly personality.....in a sea of bubbles! Lindsey and Jake's wedding was truly one to remember and as they just celebrated their first anniversary, I wish them continued blessings and all the love and joy their hearts can hold!
